Have you ever wondered what it is about Christians that makes them believe in something that seems to make no sense? Why do they say they love Jesus and then fight with one another? That's a hard question! Many Christians are new to knowing Jesus Christ and they are so excited about sharing their faith stories with other people that they make a lot of noise when they do it. There are Christians who have known Jesus all their lives and have grown close to him and they gently, quietly share their wisdom and faith with others. Sadly, there are others who have attended church for a very long time and have forgotten or never known who Jesus really is. And, yes, there are those who might be a little like some or all of these people. We sometimes clash when we get together to worship God. All of us struggle and grow together on the same earth that God has made. While none of us is perfect, we try to listen to the words that Jesus has said to others, long ago and be open to what it means for us today. How about you? Are you like any of these
people? Would you like to know more about who Jesus is and how and why he cares about you? Contact us at fmbaptist@fmbaptist.ca

Instead of overly concerning ourselves with the means of living, we would be wise to concern ourselves with the purpose for which we live. As we concentrate on living each day to the fullest, for the glory of God, we will be relieved from the harmful effects of worry and stress. This makes us aware of the promises of God in Christ and makes possible the effects fo the abundant life in the here and now. |
